About Mohamud Jama
Jama came to the United States as a refugee seeking a better life. Now, just 25 years later he is part of the true American dream where freedom, opportunity and hard work can give any American a chance to achieve their goals regardless of circumstances.
Many people have asked him how he can balance family, work, businesses, community service and running for office. The answer from Jama is that he is passionate about helping others as well as helping to grow professionally as he follows in the footsteps of his family. Jama was born to a business family, a family with leadership, education, and talent. But here in the United States, he found a land of opportunity. Now it is time to give back, find common ground and protect those precious freedoms that we cannot take for granted.
Jama graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering.
He has been married to his wife Bisharo for twenty-three years. Together they have nine children
